Apply for marriage services (license and/or ceremony) in one of the following ways:

IN-PERSON MARRIAGE SERVICES:

  • Marriage License
  • Marriage Ceremony (By appointment only)

Please note: After submitting your application online and within 30 days, both parties to the marriage must come into the office to make a payment, complete the process and receive the marriage license. The couple must appear together in-person and present valid identification.

Due to occupancy limitations, only the couple and 25 guests total will be permitted into the building.

Due to a high demand for virtual marriage services, please expect delays of 2-3 weeks.

Reminder: ALL virtual marriage services will be completed via video conference. You will NOT appear in person.

  • Marriage License ONLY
  • Marriage License AND Ceremony

Requirements for virtual marriage services:

  • Reliable, high-speed internet access
  • MS Teams software (including audio AND visual capabilities (i.e., microphone, speakers, webcam)
  • Applicants must be physically located within the State of California during the video conference. Applicants must be physically together in the State of California during the video conference for virtual marriage ceremony.

The FEES for marriage license services are as follows:

$81.00 - PUBLIC MARRIAGE LICENSE

$90.00 - CONFIDENTIAL MARRIAGE LICENSE

$75.00 - MARRIAGE CEREMONY

$19.00 - EACH CERTIFIED COPY OF THE MARRIAGE RECORD
